We have a fantastically rich and diverse crafts community in the UK which is celebrated all over the world.
A DCMS consultation paper proposes to remove crafts from the list of creative industries purely because they can't measure the sector under current methodology.
We believe crafts people and designer makers contribute significantly to employment, GVA and the economy as a whole and as such DCMS needs to look again at its methodology.
