1. Remove income tax and VAT altogether.
2. Introduce a consumption tax - a tax on all goods and services purchased. This would include all financial transactions too.
Taxing income taxes what people contribute to the economy, while taxing consumption taxes what they take out. We need to provide an incentive for people to save, be more efficient and not waste the limited resources available to us.
