Petition Warnings on hair dye packaging must be made explicit and printed on the front of boxes

European Commission found 36 hair dye chemicals ‘may not be safe for use’

Dyes contain chemicals that can cause serious allergic reactions, which in turn could prove fatal.

Since 2011, two British women have died in cases linked to the dyes, which are used by millions each year

Since November 2011, manufacturers have had to place warnings on the side of hair dye packs under European Union regulations.
But we believe the warnings are not prominent enough.

The new warning is on the side. It doesn't hit you in the face like a cigarette warning does.

We need to make the warnings explicit. Consumers are not as effectively protected as they should be

We wish for the Government to take action so, that by requirement of law, hair dye products must print these warnings explicitly on the front of the product box.
