The UK government, and under David Cameron's leadership should hold a debate on the death penalty in the house of commons.
Why should individuals who commit high profile, atrocious criminal acts committed on our streets be punished with life in HM Prisons, with TV's and creature comforts to keep them occupied.
The UK had the following decision to abolish the death penalty.
(1) It was abolished by an Act of Parliament in the 1960s
(2) The Government in 2002 agreed with all the other heads of government in a meeting of the Council of Europe to a total abolition of the death penalty - this became Protocol 13 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).
Acts, of Treason that threatens the UK's national security. The murders of British soldiers and police officers. are essentially a basic outline for reintroducing the death penalty. Especially as in the past three years there has been a increase of these crimes.
