We call upon the Prime Minister, in consultation with his Deputy, to appoint a new Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. We believe that it is critical that this position is held by a person who understands and will work with the September 2013 Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change; we believe that the current post holder, Owen Paterson MP, has demonstrated that he does not and will not.
