Petition Match HS2 funding for use on the whole Rail Network

If HS2 is deemed to be good value for money then the same amount should be used to upgrade the Rail network countrywide.
Considering the limited number of users who will use the line, surely the same amount should be invested into the existing network that is used by millions of people every day.
Spending so much money on a route that is inaccessible along the way is madness when all services are bursting.
Any reduction in investment for the current network will cause major problems.
As so little upgrading has been completed, it is about time that the whole country benefited from a modernized system.
