Petition Scrap Capital Gains Tax

Now that it has been proved that raising CGT rates actually costs the Government tax revenue isn't it time to scrap this tax entirely. This would encourage risk and enterprise and, as far as the residential lettings market is concerned, enable landlords to sell property without the impact of massive tax levels thereby releasing much needed housing stock onto the market.
