Petition To increse the awareness of violence towards specific sub-cultures and have these crimes recorded as hate crimes for the aim of harsher sentencing.

The Aim of this petition is to increase the awareness of violence between specific sub-cultures with particular reference to the alternative music genre, including; Goths and Punks.

This is to fit in with the Manchester Police Department which after the case of Sarah Lancaster, who was brutally attacked for her gothic appearance, have registered that the attack on people of the gothic and punk persuasion should be recorded as hate crimes as this carries a harsher sentence.

With enough signatures the work of the Manchester Police Department will hopefully be spread across the country making alternative appearances accepted, and reduce violent attacks.

We want all Police departments to take on the same views as those of Manchester in the recording of such crimes.
