Birmingham City Council plans to rename the historic 'Gun Quarter' in the Newtown district to something, (in their opinion), more 'fitting'.

I am calling on the Government to pressure the Council into reversing this decision. Too much history and tradition has been lost over the last 60 years in Birmingham because of 'modern' policies. With hindsight many of these policies have proven to be short-sighted and regrettable.
