Introduce to road traffic legislation that at any road intersection, traffic approaching from the left has right of way, unless over-ruled by appropriate road markings.
Where applicable, no cost for implementing and maintaining road markings is incurred, roads are 'freed' from redundant markings, and more responsibility is shifted to the driver themself.
