Petition Modernise the railways
More details
Modernise the railways by:-
a) introducing in cab signalling; and
b) electrification.
In cab signalling will be safer and increase capacity on the existing network by facilitating moving block signalling rather than the current fixed block.
Electrification will reduce the carbon foot print.
Both improvements will create skilled jobs in the UK .
