Petition A £1 "charity tax" on all working people to be donated to health charities

A monthly compulsory donation of £1 taken off every working persons wage in the UK.
This would be donated to health charities, specifically to those that are working towards treatments and cures of things like cancer, alzheimers and heart disease to name a few.
This would help find a cure or at the least improve treatments of these diseases that affect everybody either directly or through a friend or relative in everybodys lifetime.
£1 is a very insignificant sum to anybody but would literally change the lives of everybody.
Many people already donate to charity but for every person that does dozens dont.
This isn't giving money to animal charities or foreign aid but improving the lives of millions of people in the UK and worldwide, our families, our friends and maybe one day even ourselves.
