The Finnieston crane is an imposing reminder of Scotland's great industrial history, 1 of less than 15 left in the world it sits in the middle of Glasgows biggest entertainment venues. My aim is to celebrate this juxtaposition of Glasgows past and future by illuminating the crane and making it a proud monument to Glasgow instead of the dark shadow amongst the bright lights of the hydro and the Clyde arc.
