Rejected petition dogs left alone in hot cars during summer months

Please ban dogs being left unattended in cars / caravans, from April till October to prevent the undue suffering of dying from the extreme heat, unable to escape to shade away from the suns rays. I find to many in supermarket car parks ect, and many in a very short period of time have collapsed from overheating, then they die. The Police say they can't help till a new law is passed, and that they would welcome it.
