Rejected petition Institucionalizing 17th of August as Galician Martyrs Day

To submit a corporate communication supporting the petition to the Parliament of Galicia about the public and political reinstatement of the figure of Alexandre Boveda Iglesias, and the institutionalisation of the 17th August as Galicia Martyr's Day, so that the Galician Parliament fulfills its plenary agreement of 26.12.2006 (no. 07/PNP-0165 (9078)) published in the BOPG No 301 of 03.03.2007.
After the fascist military uprising of July 1936, Bóveda was tried in the Plenary Hall of the Provincial Council of Pontevedra and accused of treason. He was sentenced to death, which happened in the morning of August, 17th 1936 in A Caeira (Poio). This death sentence and the subsequent murder of Alexandre Bóveda are a historical injustice that must be repaired by the institutional rehabilitation and recovery of his leading figure as well as by the disclosure of his e!normous work for the cause of freedom, democracy and progress of Galicia.
