Change VAT treatment from exempt to zero rated for all childcare including nurseries, pre-schools, out of school clubs, holiday clubs.
The change would allow childcare providers to reclaim VAT on all purchases while not charging VAT to customers. Reduction in costs for providers on all purchases and investment in new equipment.
Changes to VAT rules would have a real impact on the cost of childcare for families.
