Following the disastrous flooding of Wraysbury and Datchett as a consequence of the implementation of the Jubilee River 'conveyance channel' around Maidenhead, any attempt to implement a similar scheme at Oxford, condemning downstream settlements at Abingdon, Wallingford, Henley etc. should be prohibited and more sustainable measures implemented upstream of Oxford to stem excessive flows at source.
