This petition is for the government to make it compulsory for suppliers, supermarkets, restaurants, and any other distributors of halal food sold in the UK to declare which products contain halal meat. This petition is not just to make the consumer aware which products they are purchasing contain halal meat, but also to protect retailers/restaurants who are not aware of products they are purchasing from suppliers/distributors that contain halal meat.
