We, the following, support the reinstatement of non-lethal weapons (such as tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannons) to patrolling police officers in order to protect citizens during rioting by gangs and mobs. Recent rioting in London has clearly demonstrated the need for harsher measures on gangs and mobs.
