Petition Reduce the burden on land & property owners attempting to remove unlawful occupiers

A petition to reduce the expense incurred and time scales required for land and property owners to remove persons unlawfully occupying land and/or property.

Current rules surrounding this mean lengthy (months or years long) and hugely expensive (sometimes tens or hundreds of thousands of pounds of) legal proceedings are required to remove unwanted unlawful occupiers of land/property e.g. travellers and squatters.

The government should seek to introduce new process(es) in order to make it much quicker and far less expensive for the land/property owner to regain posession and evict/remove the unawful occupiers. A particular focus should be placed on instances where a large number of people are affected e.g. where the occupied land/property is a public/community area or resource.
