The Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) should be scrapped as it does not uphold the rights of citizens who receive a poor service from a Local Authority. Only a few cases are upheld and anyone who challenges a decision via Judicial Review is threatened with legal costs. The LGO is institutionally biased towards Local Authorities.
