Petition Islamic State is not a state
More details
Continued reference by media and central government to 'Islamic State' both legitimises and extends credibility to what is, in reality, nothing more than a criminal gang operating outside the laws of basic humanity and devoid of all morality. This continued reference suggests legitimate geography and statehood and further slurs the Islamic faith by association.
This petition requests that henceforth the British Government will adopt alternate language when referencing this group such that the Britain is clear and unequivocal in expressing no acceptance of them; either as state or by affiliation to Islam.
This petition closed early because of a General Election
