Rejected petition Reject Wirral councils to pay new exec more than PM

More details

Wirral borough council wants to pay its as yet unappointed cheif executive £175.000 a rise of £40.000 which is a higher salary than the Prime Minster of this country.
Phil Davies apologetically explains that the council have had to make diffcult desicions as the budget has been reduced to explain the cuts. These cuts have reduced council services to the Elderly, children and the disabled. We have already faced job and wage cuts and there are more planned in the near future.
On top of the savings we have already identified. As he stated on the website "the Council still has to find another £55 million between 2015 and 2017. This means that there will be more difficult decisions in the future and work is already underway to address this. challenge".
We the voters do not not agree with the way our council tax is unfairly being used to support salaries that will see the executive paid more than the Pime minster whilst we suffer drastic cuts in services.
