We, the undersigned, are utterly appalled by the mindless thuggery and rioting taking place around London and other cities in the United Kingdom; and call upon the government to remove any and all operational restrictions that prevent or deter the police from using water cannon, less lethal weapons and tear gas to suppress mass public disorder. We also call upon the government to increase sentences for people engaged in riot to protect our communities from fear and harm.
