Many mobile phone service providers do not allow customers to put a cap on their account.
This is contrary to any other credit facility where consumers are legally entitled to set a limit on the balance owed.
Everyone should have the right to restrict their exposure to unwanted costs particularly when these costs are caused by crime.
All contracts should be updated to offer the user the opportunity to set a maximum monthly charge.
