Petition Ensure that HMRC show increase or decrease on tax paid against previous year within online tax portal

Within the online portal statistics are given to show % of your taxes broken down by dept, i.e Welfare, Defence, Debt and beside each a percentage figure is given.
However we have no idea whether the government policies directly related to these sectors are working, for example, the policies directly related to welfare reform are meant to bring down expenditure but in actual fact in real terms we do not know this in hard cold facts against the previous year.
A simple solution would be to publicise this as a gren or red arrow and giving the percentage reduction.
Then we can see whether the policies made on our behalf are working or not and whether they are keeping to their promises.
