West Lothian Council have recently approved cuts of £275,000 to the instrumental music budget from 2016-2019.
Effectively this means a reduction of 7 full time staff from 23 - Nearly a third!
This will have a huge impact on the opportunities available to our children & young people & will affect instrumental tuition for many years to come.
Angus Council recently performed a U-turn on a 36% cut to its instrumental music staff after an impassioned plea from two Forfar Academy pupils.
Surely West Lothian Council should consider doing the same!
