The Action on Addiction website says the fastest growing addiction in the UK is gambling addiction.
Currently the UK Goverment and gambling companies offer almost no support to people who face gambling addiction and according to latest NHS figures there may be as many as 450,000 problem gamblers in Great Britain.
This disease doesnt just destroy the lives of the 450, 000 addicted gambers but also the millions of friends and family around them.
I believe a tax should be imposed upon all UK gambling companies to contribute towards the treatment and support so desperately needed for all those negatively effected by gambling.
