This petition was submitted during the 2010-2015 parliament
Petition that those coming forward to give any evidence to the IPCC be given assurances that the official secrets acts will not be used in such an action
More details
Because of the enquiries being made into the matter of child abuse within the establishment over the recent years and that accusations have been made that police officers who were involved in the cases in question may feel that in giving evidence they may not be immune from prosecution in giving such evidence because of the official secrets act . I wish that representations be made via this petition to our government that assurances be made that any who do bring evidence to those investigating in this matter be given exemption from the official secrets act.
This petition closed early because of a General Election
