At any one time in the UK, there can be over 3500 horses tethered at any one time.
Tethering of horses prevents sufficient grazing, shelter, natural behaviours (especially the ability to flight in danger) and company - all of which is abuse!
As well as the above tethering can cause serious injury, somtimes leading to death, as well as emotional damage.
