Toll booths at the Dartford crossing on both Kent and Essex banks are the cause of excessive delays and frustration at peak periods. Tolls should either be a) abolished altogether. OR b) an automatice number palate recopgnition system introduced similar to the congestion charge to allow for advance or retrospective use payment.
