It is time to see fairer parking controls. If parking machines are broken, citizens should be given the benefit of the doubt. If parking control is changed in local areas, then local citizens and businesses should have prior notification. The Government should ensure that key transparent rules apply to all councils and a clear escalation and appeal procedure be available.
